Great book.

Edwyn Gray wrote an immensely readable vook about a subject that is not very much discussed outside naval circles. It combines historical detail with a thorough engineering understanding of his subject.

Ed Grey has written the finest work yet on Robert Whitehead and it is of such high quality it is likely to stand as the definitive study of the 19th century scientist, engineer, and inventor. Grey's research is thorough, his prose very engaging, and his findings very reliable.
